Christopher Harrison is a multi award-winning landscape and nature photographer based in Oxfordshire, England. Christopher has always had an affinity with photography, and has a core mantra to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. This often requires chasing unique and rare weather conditions, from frost to fog, from rainbows to aurora. Revisiting locations over and over, often at sunrise, gives Christopher a relationship with the landscape, allowing him to capture beautiful and fleeting moments. Whilst Christopher does enjoy travelling, he most enjoys capturing local landscapes.
Christopher spends a lot of time in Oxfordshire & the surrounding counties near his home, exploring the Thames Valley & Chiltern Hills. In quite stark contrast, he spends a lot of time in the Scottish Highlands, where he has family, capturing the raw and wild landscapes of the Cairngorms National Park. These landscapes feature a lot throughout Christopher's portfolio.
Christopher now uses a Sony a7R IV paired with three Sigma lenses, the 14-24mm Art, the 24-70mm Art and the 70-200mm Sports lens. He uses a DJI Mavic 3 Pro drone, and holds the CAA A2 Certificate of Competence.
Christopher has been awarded in numerous prestigious international & national photography competitions:
