What is the difference between Premium and Microstock content and pricing?

High-end magazines and Fortune 500 clients need more exclusive and curated content, which is why they pay for Premium content. They are ready to pay higher prices ranging from $100 to $1000, depending on the usage.

Amazing Aerial only works with Premium content, not Microstock. Our work can be found in magazines such as GEO and Conde Nast Traveler, in prominent advertising campaigns, and on the front page of large portals such as Microsoft’s Bing.com.

Microstock royalties are generally between $0.10 to $1 on average. Microstock clients are designers with smaller budgets or magazines that buy bundles of thousands of photos for cents.

Can I sell my prints on my own?

Yes. We encourage you to build your own revenue streams. Amazing Aerial can be one of them as we licence photos and videos around the world.

Can I sell directly to my own clients?

Yes. We are thrilled to see our team of photographers excel in their work, from making films to taking photos for their clients. Amazing Aerial is here to support you on your journey.

Can I post my photos on social media and my website?

Yes. Self-promotion is important and encouraged. Branding yourself is important, especially if you want to become an Amazing Aerial course instructor within our community.

Can I sell my photos on Microstock sites?

No. You have to choose whether you want to sell Premium or Microstock content, you cannot do both. We cannot have the same photo selling for 10 cents at one agency and $500 at another.

You are basically shooting yourself in the foot as clients will not want to pay premium prices for a photo they can find at a much lower price elsewhere. We already have established relationships with Premium customers that want high-quality work and are willing to reward you for it, so it makes no sense for you to seek out other clients that will pay much less.

How much can I expect to earn with Amazing Aerial?

Our average earning ratio is 1.5. This means for every asset you have you can expect to earn $1.5 per year. So for example, if you have 10.000 assets in your portfolio, you can expect to earn around $15.000 per year or equivalent to $1.250 per month.

How much you can expect to earn will also depend on how much work you put into the agency. To be successful, you need to shoot and upload fresh content regularly to build your portfolio and generate sales. Our clients love fresh content!

Which partner agencies does Amazing Aerial work with?

Amazing Aerial is distributed to the world’s best 35 Premium commercial, editorial and video agencies. Some of our partner agencies have an international reach, while others have a more local approach in markets such as Japan, China, Taiwan, France, Germany, etc.

Who are your clients and where have you been published?

Why should I choose exclusivity and what does it mean?

Exclusivity means that we are the only agency that has the right to distribute and license your work through stock agencies. Trust us, we’ve got you covered with the best agencies in the world.

Exclusivity protects your work and your income. Exclusivity also allows us to follow up on copyright infringement and get revenue from companies who use photos without permission.

What is the royalty percentage split?

The royalty split depends on the distribution method and the nature of your work. Depending on how we distribute your work, the royalties are as follows:

Partner agencies: 50-50

Direct Sales: 50-50

Assignment: Based on photographer's set day rate, we add 30%. Licensing is set to base 50-50

What are the different ways I can earn income at Amazing Aerial?

Amazing Aerial allows our artists to earn money in multiple ways so you can develop multi-revenue streams. These include:

Am I a good fit for Amazing Aerial?

Amazing Aerial is on the lookout for talented and motivated artists who want to grow their skills, be part of a healthy and supportive community, and earn income from their work.

If you have drive, you can be a good fit for us regardless of your experience level. In the early days, many of our aerial photographers were just at the beginning of their career, but they had motivation. Some now employ teams of people, have production companies, or make a living travelling the world shooting.

I have terabytes of photos and videos on my hard drive. Can I submit everything?

Yes. If you have been shooting for years, you can curate and select your best photos and submit them to us. Our curation team will review and select your best work.

Can Amazing Aerial edit photos, clip videos for me?

Yes. We have an editing team that takes care of our photographers who don’t have the time to edit photos, clip videos or add metadata. This is a paid service, so you will need to contact us for a cost estimate.

How often should I submit new photos and videos?

As soon as you have new content, please upload as soon as possible. Especially NEWS, within 24 hours.

How many photographers are currently in the Amazing Aerial team?

What is the difference between BlackBox and Amazing Aerial?

Blackbox only distributes video (no photos). Amazing Aerial distributes photos and videos and distributes to more video partner agencies than BlackBox. 

Photos are distributed through our premium partner network.

Videos are distributed to a mix of microstock platforms, subscription agencies and press agencies around the world.
